[2009.10.13] ASIA PACIFIC FILM FESTIVAL

The 53rd Annual Asia Pacific Film Festival will take place between December 17 and 20 in Kuohsiung, Taiwan. Hong Kong Motion Pictures Industry Association yesterday announced BEAST STALKERS (JING YUN), ACCIDENT (YI OI) and IP MAN as Hong Kong representatives in competition. This year the film festival theme is "Asian Film Great Leap, Asian Film New Economy" in hopes that all of Asia's film creators and actors will unite and gather together their power to carry forward Asian film.

ACCIDENT director Soi Cheang Bo Shui was very happy that the film will be able to represent Hong Kong in competition because this film took 17 months of hard work to complete. He thanked the cast and crew. As for his confidence, he will face it ordinarily. He hoped that Louis Koo Tin Lok will win because Goo Jai put a lot of effort into it. Koo Tin Lok expressed that he was very happy and thanked Media Asia, producer Johnnie To Kei Fung and director Cheang Bo Shui. He said that this film was very difficult during the shoot because it had a lot of emotional scenes. Now that it qualified the 17 months of effort was validated. He liked this movie very much and was confident in it winning an award.
