[2011.10.18] THE GREAT MAGICIAN POSTER SHOWS SOME THOUGHT

The film THE GREAT MAGICIAN (DAI MOR SHOOK SI) released its five character posters that included Lau Ching Wan, Zhou Xun, Yan Ni, Wu Gang and Paul Chun Pui.  All five posters had different animals that represented their characters and fate.  The fresh idea filled people with imagination.

Lau Ching Wan's warlord image was the most memorable.  In the poster his eyes were sharp.  In the back was a roaring tiger.  Ching Wan in the new film played a hard to read warlord who loved his wife Zhou Xun.
Zhou Xun's poster displayed the Chinese beauty.  Dressed simple she looked elegant, comparing her to the extremely rare "legendary bird" Chinese Crested Tern could not be more suitable.

Chun Pui's white bearded "lion king" look was also very eye catching. As Zhou Xun's father his explosiveness could be looked forward to in the film.  In the film the villain imprisoned him.  In one scene as
he was tortured Chun Pui screamed in rage.  The crew did not expect that at all and was completely stunned.  With his ample acting, his energy left everyone with nothing but respect for him.
