Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi King) last night attended the last Hong Kong promotional event for the film THE LADY.  Michelle personally attended a forum at the Chinese University's Chung Chi College.  Nearly 200 students attended.  When Michelle appeared, she was asked whether the promotion has been tough.  She nodded.  This time Michelle asked for the exchange with university students.  She thought this film was well worth sharing with viewers, unfortunately yesterday only one or two students have seen the film.

Michelle said that the audience always decide what movies they made.  Ultimately film was a business as well, it could not constantly make this type of films.  However this time all the actors and director worked very hard as no one cared how much they made.  As for playing Aung San Suu Ki, she admitted that later she did not want to leave the character.  During the shoot she had a chance to meet with Aung San Suu Ki.  She said that this chance was very rare.  Later she originally wanted to go again with director Luc Besson, but the Customs turned them down.  She said that the Customs officers were very well mannered, but she still hoped to have a chance to go to Myanmar again.
