One of the three Golden Harvest giants Choi Wing Cheong (originally named Choi Duk Sun) passed away last month at the age of 77. Yesterday his funeral took place at the Universal Funeral Parlor in Hung Hom, then his remains were transported to the Wo Hop Shek Crematorium for cremation.

His family followed Choi Wing Cheong's low key manner. The hall was primarily white. Although the screen that was used during earlier ceremonies was removed, the crew still kept the hall door half closed. Family and friends arrived at the hall early to pay their respects and bid this film industry quiet giant farewell.

The ceremony began at 11AM with a Buddhist ceremony. Around a dozen or so monks first chanted in the hall. After the ceremony, the family carried Choi Wing Cheong's photo out of the hall sorrowfully. After getting into the hearse they covered their faces with the photo. Other family and friends was transported on a bus to the crematorium.
