This time the film company spared no expense, shooting on location in Australia and Thailand. Th film even had many large scale explosions, scenes in the air, at the sea and in gun fights. The film company also threw money at the set and the costumes, as famous costume directors William Chang Suk Ping went to work on Fat Gor and Ka Ling's and Yee Chung Man on Cheung Ka Fai and Yue Man Lok's costumes.

Fat Gor stated that the sequel would be even more entertaining. "In comparison to the first film, the scale was much larger. Not only did it shoot in Thailand, it also had Best Actor and Best Actress in its cast, took to the air and the sea. With the elegant sets and large scale explosion scenes, the fast pace made the story was even more intense and cheerful." Cheung Ka Fai joked, "I don't think anyone would come up short from watching this film, I hope everyone would enjoy it!"

Best Actors Chow Yun Fat and Cheung Ka Fai worked together for the first time and appreciated each other. Fat Gor stated that his performance was wilder and better than the last film. "This time didn't feel like a film production, more like a part of life. After over two months in production, sometimes I would really miss them. I really want to have another script that will bring us together again!" Ka Fai said that when he visited Danny Lee Sau Yin on the set of THE KILLER (DIP HUET SEUNG HUNG) he ran into Fat Gor. He never imagined that he would have a chance to work with him. "At the time my eyes lit up when I saw Fat Gor, I never thought that we would be able to work together. I am very honored to have the chance to share the stage this time. We are always in discussion, hoping that every scene would be able to reach our potential."
