The Raymond Wong Pak Ming produced, David Lam Tak Luk directed, Louis Koo Tin Lok, Julian Cheung Chi Lam, Vic Chou Yu Man, Ada Choi Siu Fun, Bowie Lam Bo Yi, DaDa Chan Jing, Janelle Sing Kwan starred film S STORM (S FUNG BO) originally was slated for a September 15 Mainland release. Later it was released 6 hours in advanced on the 14th at 6PM. That night it already made over 10 million at the box office. Then in 30 hours it broke 53 million RMB at the box office. Yesterday in its third day of release as of 4PM, its box office has reached 95 million RMB. After COLD WAR 2 (HONG JIN 2), LINE WALKER (SI TOH HUNG JEH) another Hong Kong film has become a hit. The film even held a "Cantonese family reunion" Mid Autumn festival screening in Beijing for the Cantonese audience and Hong Kong people there to enjoy this 100% Hong Kong film in its authenticity.

One of the reasons for the box office performance was the Mainland audience's impression of the Hong Kong style crime film's realism. For example Chilam who played a "hea" cop in the film praised how real the character was. "This character was once addicted to sports gambling and did only the bare minimum. He was flawed, had dimensions, very accurate, people should have a good and a bad side."

Another lead Goo Jai has been with the film since the first installment. Would he keep making the "anti corruption" film series? Goo Jai said, "The most important is for the audience to like it. Few movies have been about the Independent Commission Against Corruption organization. If we don't make them, the audience wouldn't have a chance to understand it. Of course if we make a third film, we should add different elements. Because when we made the first film we already talked with the director about some very topical cases, I hope the third film will be able to have even more different stories." When asked which type of stories, Goo Jai again showed his humorous side. "I am not at liberty to discuss ICAC cases."

Jacky Cai Jie in S STORM played Lo Hoi Pang's kept woman who often suffered emotional abuse. In one scene, Lo Hoi Pang used a cane to hit her. Cai Jie said, "Brother Pang really knows how to use momentum, instead I had to fall back and forth in response, bruises and scratches are inevitable." She also revealed that she had to make out scene in the car. Lo Hoi Pang had to put his hand on her leg. "He was more nervous than I was, he was afraid that I would feel uneasy. He was quite a gentleman." As for his girlfriend being "abused", her boyfriend Gregory Wong Chung Hiu said, "No heartache, she deserves it......the character, she did all the bad things!"
