The 13th Hong Kong Asian Film Festival closing ceremony took place two nights ago. This year's two closing films were the Feng Xiaogang directed, Fan Bingbing starred I AM NOT MADAME BOVARY and the Kearen Pang Sau Wai directed, Chrissie Chau Sau Na, Joyce Cheng Yun Yi, and Babyjohn Choi Hong Yik starred 29+1. The event also announced this year's new Asian director award winner BYTHE TIME IT GETS DARK's Anocha Suwichakornpong.

29+1's director and actors attended the closing ceremony. Chau Sau Na was very pleased that the film was chosen as the film festival closing film. The film was adapted from a play. Chau Sau Na admitted that at first she worried that since director Pang Sau Wai has played her character she did not want to have any shades of her. Thus during the performance he tried to achieve a different feeling. The film was about two women who were turning 30. Sister Na said that during the shoot she was at this age. The film also seemed to be talking about different experience of hers like heartbreak. After the shoot she no longer had any worry about love. Perhaps when she turned from the 20's to the 30's she felt grown up. She has learned to handle matter that she has experienced before and would have a happy and optimistic approach.

Cheng Yun Yi's father Adam Cheng Siu Chau just received the Performing Art Academy honorary degree. Yun Yi happily said, "I didn't know. Today I just talked with him on the phone. He only asked me if I wanted any soup and didn't mention it at all. I feel he is very cool. If I was told earlier I definitely would attend in support!" Would she celebrate with Papa? Yun Yi said, "Of course! I will cook something good for him, because lately he has been constantly making soup for me." Yun Yi admitted that Papa rarely talked to her about himself. She mostly talked about herself. Chau Guoon said that she did not talk about her love life. Yun Yi said, "I avoid the unpleasant stuff to keep him from worrying again." Would she get married first before telling Papa? She said that she had to find another half before she would be able to, but she first had to improve herself to be able to feel the brilliance. Love would always be about fate and could not be deliberately looked for.

Yun Yi will turn 30 too. After making 29+1 she admitted that she started to think about marriage and having a family. She stressed that she was not in any hurry to wed, only that as she grew she felt she was in a countdown of having children. Would she consider "freezing her eggs"? Yun Yi said, "I thought about it, but isn't it expensive? Actually I hope to have one child. Boy or girl would not matter, being healthy and cute would be the most important!"
